From My Bedroom Balcony

It's not uncommon to find someone just walking down the street with a camel. It's even more common if it's summer. Why? Well, because of the weddings that take place. These guys come out to celebrate!

  1. Those camels! You can't keep them away from a good wedding!! Lol

It's so nice to see things like this, thanks for posting. It really made me smile. Here in Australia we do not see camels wandering about though you might be interested to know that we do have large number of camels living in central Australia. There are also a couple of businesses not far from me that run camel riding tours. I've always wanted to go.

  4. In Algeria recently I saw the biggest bull I ever saw waiting on a truck right there in town....I don't really like to think of where he was going :O...hmmm. But in western countries we are really kept away from a lot of that natural stuff by the way we live.

  5. Salaam, How lovely masha'Allah! How far are you from Algiers?

Here in Riyadh you are not likely to see a camel being walked down the street (it would probably get run over LOL) but if you go on the highway on the way out of Riyadh you will come across many farms with camels. Of course Toyota pickup trucks with a camel or two in the back are common sight too. :)

  9. Assalamualaikum wa rahmatullah Jennifer.

I have a question:) Do you guys easily get camel milk and camel meat? I heard its very delicious and has a lot of health benefits.

  10. Walaikum Essalam Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh, Yes, both the milk and meat are readily available here and everybody here uses it. The meat is very sweet compared to beef which is what it most tastes like. It's also a bit different in texture, as it has larger fibers. Welcome & Thanks for stopping by! Come again!!
