Oven Baked Brisket

It's been years, I'm mean since college that I have had a brisket. I don't know how I got the urge for one, but I did. Our local  Halal shop cut me one right up, cheaper than Safeway or Shoppers at that!

The Night Before Cooking:
1 brisket, 5 lbs
1 cup of dry rub, I make my own
1/2 cup olive oil

Day of Cooking:
2 large sliced onions
1 head of garlic

Rub on the seasonings and olive oil and place in a ziplock over night.

Pull it out the next day, place the sliced onions and chopped garlic on top and triple wrap it in aluminum foil.

Place on a cookie sheet in a 300 degreee oven for 1 hour per each pound of meat.
Cut into think strips and serve with whatever side you like.
